The Art of Appreciation
Apply before end of November
Exeter Cathedral is delighted to invite creative groups to be part of our winter exhibition, The Art of Appreciation.
This exhibition builds on the Cathedral’s recently completed National Lottery Heritage Fund project, which has transformed and renewed the visitor experience through upgraded facilities, a new interpretation programme throughout the cathedral, upgraded lighting and underfloor heating in the quire, and the creation of the Friends Cloister Gallery and Treasures Exhibition. Throughout the project, we have welcomed a wide variety of groups to explore creative opportunities inspired by the Cathedral’s heritage – from artworks and workshops to community responses such as the moving votives inspired by From The Vow Made. We would now love to continue this spirit of creativity and collaboration by showcasing your work in this special winter exhibition celebrating gratitude, wonder, and appreciation.
Please see the attachment for more information and do get in touch if you know a group, a school class, a club or professional individual who would like to submit a creation. The Exhibition will open to all visitors at the beginning of December when the Cathedral will be open by donation and of course, do come and see what has been submitted!
Get creative and join us with your interpretation of what makes you smile, or what you are thankful for.
